Research Themes

Research Relevance

The goal of my research is to discover relationships and structures in databases. Such research can help investigators to acquire hitherto unsuspected knowledge and to formulate new research hypotheses.

Representative Achievements

My achievements include the CLUSS server for the clustering of proteins, a variable-order Markov chain model for sequence analysis, and numerous methods to analyze very high-dimensional data.

My expertise is in the data mining of high-dimensional data and sequence data, and includes the development of new methods and applications.
